Ah, what beautiful scenery. The above three panorama shots are composites of several frames each. The first two were taken at sunset last night from the Mescal Mountain mesa in Sedona. The third one was taken this morning from the Teacup trail.Bob Eliz close up 11-12-13

I must have been to Sedona several dozen times. But one never tires of its beauty.  Sedona always seems to surprise you in a new way. Maybe it’s the varying quality of light or time of day or even year.

In any event, like an unexpected encounter with a beloved, Sedona always takes my breath away. In the middle of a distinctly Yang (masculine) desert, she exudes gentle, Yin (feminine) energies. No wonder Sedona has been considered a sacred site by Native Americans for centuries. As for the White Man, just over a 100 years.

During the last 24 hours, Elizabeth and I drove from Scottsdale to Sedona via Wickenburg and Prescott. We then, did an evening hike on Mescal Mtn with a Sedona friend, and then a Teacup trail this morning by ourselves. The scenery was spectacular on both trails and at opposite ends of a day.

Check it out yourself…

Finally. you can see above the irrefutable proof that Elizabeth had hiked the entire Teacup trail. You can see her pictures both at the start and the end. 🙂

Off to Tucson tomorrow. To catch The Bat (Strauss’ opera – Die Fledermaus).

Stand by for a quick video from atop the Mescal Mountain mesa… It will be fun. 🙂
