LAST RAINBOW, LAST SUPPER, SPIRIT’S BLESSING… BEFORE HURRICANES

ISELLE AND JULIO TO DELIVER A ONE-TWO PUNCH TO HAWAII, BUT SPIRITS SAY NOT TO WORRY – THROUGH MAGNIFICENT RAINBOW

Two Rainbow Shower trees fall BEFORE the hurricanes arrive

Everybody knows that animals have a special sense for natural disasters.  But did you know that some trees do, too?

When I was doing my rounds of the Rainbow Shower last night at sunset, I noticed that two fairly large trees had broken and fallen down in the gulch.

Were they watching the celestial news channel?  And they panicked and decided to topple themselves before the hurricanes arrived? 🙂

I was also joking about that with my younger daughter who called from Ohio to make sure we are okay and prepared for the one-two punch Iselle and Julio are expected to deliver this weekend.

“Well, there is not much we can do other than remove all loose objects from around the house,” I said. “And I just came back up from the gulch after using the chainsaw to cut up and remove some fallen trees. They must have been watching the same TV programs that panicked the population around here to swarm Costco and Walmart stores and stock up on water.”

How stupid can people get? Here we are, expecting between 5 and 8 inches (per day) of God’s purest rainwater this weekend, and still some people BUYING (!!!) water.  Just because TV said so.

“They are making the hurricane into another Hallmark event,” I told my daughter as I also said to Elizabeth this morning over breakfast. “Someone is always trying to pick their pockets, and the gullible ones are letting them.”

How about just putting out a few buckets around the eavestroughs when Iselle and Julio get here to deliver FREE water?  Or just filling some water jugs out of the taps at home?

Bolt Hole002When I had my Bolt Hole home in Western Australia, ALL OF OUR WATER came from the sky via the eavestroughs.  I had a 30,000-gallon tank built right next to the house.  And it tasted better than any city water.

Oh, and did I mention we also had a solar panel for the water heater?  Yes, that was back in 1998.

(Elizabeth told me when she came home from town this afternoon that people are fighting each other over water at Costco and Walmart stores).

“O tempora, o mores!” What a world we live in!

LAST RAINBOW, LAST SUPPER… BEFORE HURRICANES  – SPIRIT’S BLESSING

I said to Elizabeth this afternoon that we should go out to dinner tonight.  We’ll probably have to be housebound for the next few days.

“It’ll be our last supper (out) before Iselle and Julio come for a visit,” I said.

Little did we know how beautiful a ride the Spirit would lay on for us. As we were driving from the Rainbow Shower to Polli’s Mexican restaurant in Makawao, a giant rainbow popped up and stayed with us for the last mile or so.

“This will be also our last rainbow for a while,” I said to Elizabeth after taking these pictures.

“This is the Spirit’s reassurance not to worry, that they love us, that all will be well,” I said.

For the last two days, I have been doing ceremonies and prayers asking my Spirit guides to spare Hawaii of significant devastation – if that pleases the Creator, of course.  And this evening at sunset, the last sunset we will be seeing for a while, we got their answer in the form of this rainbow: “We love you. All will be well.”

As we were chatting over a delicious steak fajitas dinner, we also realized that the only other named storm we experienced in the last five and a half years here was last year’s Flossie (Flossie: In the Eye of the Storm, July 29, 2013).  And now we have three of them around us – Genevieve, Iselle and Julio.

“Looks like the maker these hurricanes knows his alphabet,” I joked.  “They are all in alphabetical order” 🙂 (F-G-I-J…  even if they came more than a year apart).

And now, with our tummies full, all we need to do is sit and wait for Iselle and Julio.
